A: FAQ is an acronym for "frequently asked questions." | Q: Can I come to the group if I've never had anything published? A: ABSOLUTELY! Everyone is a beginner at one time or another! Come and learn from those who have been where you are now... | Q: What can I expect at the meetings? A: Meetings are friendly and welcoming. We start with announcements, a devotional thought, and general business. We take a break for socializing and networking. Then we have a professional development time with an accomplished writer/artist. | Q: What is a "critique group"? A: Critique groups take many forms, some more formal than others. Guild members who wish to do so can come early (5:30-6:30) on meeting nights, bring their work and read it in a small group. Then others in the group give their feedback. It's all voluntary---and KIND! | Q: I've been writing for years and published many times. What does the guild have for me? A: One of the great blessings of success is the opportunity to encourage others! We'd LOVE to have you with us to share your experience. If you'd like to teach at a meeting, let the leadership team know. And as you know, we as writers never stop growing. | Q: It's just so hard to get motivated and to stay motivated! What can I do? A: CONNECT with kindred spirits. The meetings are a great place to meet others who share your struggles. Ideas, encouragement, comaraderie...all await you! |
